Amanda Sainz graduated from the Denver School of the Arts in Colorado as a dance major. Well accepted into dance programs and professional companies around the United States, Ms. Sainz went on to be the founder and Artistic Director of her own company, Identity Dance. Identity Dance has successfully won national titles and Amanda’s choreography has been used for national pageants, professional video production companies within Las Vegas, high school teams, and all-star teams. Alongside her dance company, Ms. Sainz is a licensed dance educator within the Clark County School District. She built the current dance program at Desert Pines High School where she teaches grades 9th-12th. Inspired by working with at risk youth, Ms. Sainz majored in sociology and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada of Las Vegas. Her experience within her profession has taught her that although technique and fundamentals are important for an instructor to instill, it is even more valuable to instill the idea into every child that all dreams are possible. This ideology inspired Ms. Sainz’s first publication of “Oh No Silly Goose.”
